Dear Friends...
As we begin our 25th Year we want to welcome you back and say thanks for your support and enthusiasm. If this season will be your first with us...then Welcome..we will do everything we can to make your trip a success.
This is an exciting time to be in the paddlesports business. We are seeing continued growth in kayaking, instruction and in simply getting out to relax with family and friends.
Our Floodwood Base or Outpost operates daily April to October and continues to provide the service and hospitality that you expect. The remote location at the edge of the St. Regis Wilderness makes a great jumping-off-place.
Our Saranac Lake Store and Base provides river front convenience at an easy to reach, yet downtown location in Saranac Lake Village. Restaurants, the post office, grocery, deli, and Main street shopping are all with in five hundred feet. Our staff will help you with the last minute details and make sure you get off smoothly. Check out our new programs, packages and guided trips. Our Rail and Paddle Package and guided day trips have both become popular.

The Adirondacks provide a combination of wild lakeshores, wilderness land, and accessibility that is rare anywhere and unique in the Northeastern United States. Exciting, new areas continue to be added to the Forest Preserve: a few years ago it was the Whitney Wilderness and the Santa Clara Tract, in 2004 it was the Henderson Lake Tract and in 2007 the Bog Lake and Round Lake Tracts have been added to the Forest Preserve. All these areas provide remote camping with clear waters and mountains that abound with wildlife: loons, deer, coyotes, otter and beaver. If you are quiet, you may see bear, moose, lynx, fisher or bobcat.
You may paddle entirely in Wilderness Areas or you may paddle through a unique patchwork of state and private lands that make up the park. Your paddling may be a two hour exploration with binoculars and lens or it may be a weeklong expedition with a group of friends. Either way, you will appreciate the knowledge, expertise and courtesy of our staff in helping you bring your dreams to life. Let's turn the page and pick an area to explore!
We welcome the opportunity to help you!
Dave Cilley and staff
PS. . .If you haven't been on one of our Florida Winter Trips, take a different Florida vacation this winter... we think you'll be pleasantly surprised with the variety of rivers and the warmth and wild beauty of the beaches and marine environment of The Everglades National Park.
