The Floodwood Loop is a beautiful canoe camping trip over three days (2 nights). We begin and end at Hoel Pond. We will paddle Slang Pond, Turtle Pond, Long Pond (with the option to hike Long Pond Mountain), Floodwood Pond, Fish Creek, Follensby Clear Pond, and Polliwog Pond. There are great opportunities for swimming, and the view from Long Pond Mountain is stunning. There are five portages with the longest being .8 miles.
Your guide will provide tips for paddling, portaging, and camp setup as well as providing food. Transport to and from our location in Saranac Lake is included.
Cost per person includes your choice of boat from our rental fleet, as well as the guide, camping gear, food and transportation from our Base.
Basic Cost: $850 per person with minimum of two people.
Group Rate: $675 per person with minimum of four people.
Trip is arranged at your request. We recommend at least a month's advance (minimum of two weeks) reservation for all guided trips.
