This classic route historically (late 1800 to early 1900s) had seven carries as it connected Paul Smith's Hotel with Saranac Inn. Now just six connect a beautiful chain of small wilderness lakes and ponds. After Little Clear Pond, we portage (0.6 is the longest of the trip) to St Regis Pond. After lunch, we traverse the chain: Little Green, Little Long, Bear and Bog Ponds, each with it's own character. A very short portage connects these wilderness ponds to Upper St Regis Lake, where we view classic Adirondack Great Camps.
Great lunch, snacks, transportation and a guide are all included, as well as your choice of boat from our rental fleet. For this trip we recommend a lightweight kevlar tandem canoe or a super light double paddle solo canoe.
Basic Cost: $179 per person (minimum of 2 people)
